Resurrection

Easter is a calling on our every day; not just a one day a year celebration. I find it exciting to explain that the Season of Easter goes for eight weeks not just a day but the truth is this resurrection is within all time; throughout all time and known before the beginning of time.

So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth, for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory. Colossians 3.1-4

In our everyday life it is not enough to sit still looking into the sky, the act of seeking that we are called to do is done through calling on the earth but not letting our minds to be set on the world which has fallen. We can see gifts from above in every day people, every day provision. We can see it in caring for our broken creation and caring for all of humanity. The call that Christ is risen is made more important by his life and ministry; he was not a sage in the mountains but on the streets with the people; so we are called to be in the same mind of Christ.

When it comes to Colossians 3.4, it is good news, but it pales in comparison to the actual Good News that we can be raised with Christ and live differently today there is no reason to wait for tomorrow!

He is Risen!
